In Loving Memory of..

Consuelo V. Chacon

  On Wednesday, June 10th of 2026, the hardest working, smartest, loyal and most loving individual that I have ever known pranced through Heaven and high-fived St. Peter at the Pearlies.   Blessed and incredibly astute, my beautiful and charming mother of 90 plus years went on her quiet journey to meet up with my father and all of their respective families. She was nurturing, kind and could out duel Nolan Ryan in a chancla shootout. My Mom was born in La Union, New Mexico and raised briefly in Porvenir, Chihuahua Mexico before moving to Arizona and California and settling in ElPaso, Texas. She had an incredible penchant for people and business and was an outstanding sales representative for several large companies like Avon and Home Interiors earning numerous awards and trips.

Consuelo V. Chacon was the hardest working 💪 person that I ever knew. She placed 3 kids through college worked 18 hour days 6 to sometimes 7 days a week. She was an incredible mother, wife and confidant. She grew up in poverty but never let the fringes of Life dictate who she was or needed to be. She loved politics, languages and music 🎶 especially Mariachi and Baladas. She cooked phenomenally well and her and my Grandmother made the most incredible tamales 🫔 and empanadas. Whilst, living in Oxnard and Los Angeles, California she was asked several times if she wanted to be in the movies but politely declined. She also worked in the Arizona and California fields picking strawberries 🍓 and other vegetables and fruits to sustain a living during the Cesar Chavez movement. She met the only man she ever loved as a 4 year-old kid while living in Porvenir, Chihuahua Mexico as fate would have it they would meet a second time as teenagers in Tucson, Az. And after that they were pretty much inseparable until they married on the 3rd of July of 1955.

Consuelo would also introduce her Hall of Fame Jockey-cousin to her best friend Rosa Mendoza as they would also, be harpooned by Cupid's arrow and marry within a year of each other's wedding.

Consuelo was a devout Catholic influencing and instilling a resilient devotion to our Lord Jesus Christ.


The latter years...

Unfortunately, Consuelo went through several harsh ordeals that would make anyone cease to having anything to do with their own breathen.. Soon something will surface that will atone for the maladies of certain family members.. For the moment stay vigilant and prepared....

And then the Funeral will proceed at Mt. Carmel Cemetery located at 401 S. Zaragoza Dr. 79907

                Consuelo V. Chacon

El miércoles 10 de junio de 2026, la persona más trabajadora, inteligente, leal y cariñosa que jamás haya conocido entró triunfante al Cielo y chocó la mano con San Pedro a las puertas celestiales. Bendecida e increíblemente perspicaz, mi hermosa y encantadora madre, de más de 90 años, emprendió su viaje silencioso para reunirse con mi padre y con todas sus respectivas familias. Era una mujer cariñosa y amable, capaz de superar incluso a Nolan Ryan en un duelo de puntería con la chancla. Mi madre nació en La Unión, Nuevo México, y vivió brevemente en Porvenir, Chihuahua (México), antes de mudarse a Arizona y California y establecerse finalmente en El Paso, Texas. Poseía un talento innato para tratar con la gente y para los negocios; fue una representante de ventas excepcional para grandes empresas como Avon y Home Interiors, ganando numerosos premios y viajes.

Consuelo V. Chacón fue la persona más trabajadora 💪 que he conocido. Sacó adelante los estudios universitarios de tres hijos trabajando jornadas de 18 horas, de seis a veces hasta siete días a la semana. Fue una madre, esposa y confidente increíble. Creció en la pobreza, pero nunca permitió que las adversidades de la vida dictaran quién era ella o quién debía ser. Amaba la política, los idiomas y la música 🎶 —especialmente el mariachi y las baladas— y, sobre todo, a los Dodgers de Los Ángeles. Cocinaba de maravilla; ella y mi abuela preparaban unos tamales 🫔 y unas empanadas increíbles. Durante su estancia en Oxnard y Los Ángeles, California, le propusieron varias veces actuar en películas, pero ella declinó cortésmente la oferta. También trabajó en los campos de Arizona y California recolectando fresas 🍓 y otras frutas y verduras para ganarse la vida durante la época del movimiento de César Chávez. Conoció al único hombre al que amó cuando ella tenía apenas cuatro años y vivía en Porvenir, Chihuahua; el destino quiso que se reencontraran años más tarde, ya adolescentes, en Tucson, Arizona. A partir de entonces, fueron prácticamente inseparables hasta que contrajeron matrimonio el 3 de julio de 1955.

Consuelo también presentó a su primo —jinete de caballos miembro del Salón de la Fama— a su mejor amiga, Rosa Mendoza; ambos fueron flechados por Cupido y se casaron en un lapso de un año respecto a la boda de Consuelo.

Consuelo era una católica devota que influyó en los demás e inculcó una devoción inquebrantable hacia nuestro Señor Jesucristo.

Los últimos años...

Lamentablemente, Consuelo atravesó pruebas muy duras que habrían llevado a cualquiera a romper todo vínculo con sus propios familiares. Pronto saldrá a la luz algo que servirá de reparación por las faltas de ciertos miembros de la familia. Por ahora, manténganse vigilantes y preparados...

El rezo del Rosario tendrá lugar el jueves 25 de junio de 2026 a las 7:00 p. m. en la funeraria San Jose Mortuary, ubicada en 10950 Pellicano Dr., 79935 (tel. 915-590-8700).

El funeral comenzará puntualmente a las 10:00 a. m. del viernes 26 de junio de 2026 en la iglesia Our Lady of Sorrows, ubicada en 7712 Rosedale St., 79907 (tel. 915-433-8694).

Posteriormente, el cortejo fúnebre se dirigirá al cementerio Mt. Carmel, ubicado en 401 S. Zaragoza Dr., 79907.
